DO YOU KNOW WHERE YOUR STORM DRAINS FLOW?

Copeland Creek is a 9 mile perennial stream. The headwaters arise on Sonoma Mountain, slightly above the Fairfield Osborn Preserve, while the middle winds its way through grazing land and vineyards on the lower western slopes of the Sonoma Mountains.

Upon reaching the valley floor Copeland Creek bisects the City of Rohnert Park. It is on this stretch through the city that a paved path follows much of the creek providing a nice trail for running, biking and walking. Plants and wildlife abound along the creek as well making it an enjoyable path for exploring.

The creek eventually flows into the Laguna de Santa Rosa, and then to the Russian River eventually making its way to the Pacific Ocean.

Remember, storm drains connect streets to creeks, which flow into the Russian River. Simple changes can make a big impact. Copeland Creek is Ours to Protect.
