Your Creek 95403

DO YOU KNOW WHERE YOUR STORM DRAINS FLOW?

Mark West Creek is an almost 30 mile long major waterway that rises in the Mayacamas Mountains and flows through a wide expanse of Sonoma County. Mark West Springs Road was built next to it and follows the path of the creek. There is a challenging 4 mile class III-V kayaking run on the creek that begins at Mark West Lodge. The creek then flows by Mayacama Golf Club, through the Wikiup neighborhood and appears close to the Sonoma County Airport. Mark West creek continues on it’s journey west, where it converges with the Laguna de Santa Rosa east of Forestville, and then flows north where it meets Windsor Creek and flows into the Russian River at Steelhead Beach.

Remember, storm drains connect streets to creeks, which flow into the Russian River. Simple changes can make a big impact. Mark West Creek is Ours to Protect.
